Nature of Work:
Manage the theater operations including scenes, costumes, props, lighting, sound, and set. Coordinate and train student workers to work events in the halls. Work with Conferencing and other departments to coordinate events and equipment needed for the events. Coordinate schedule for each academic year’s music and theater events. Teach up to 6 credits of technical theatre per semester.
Essential Duties:
Teach up to six (6) credits of technical theatre courses each semester
Manage day-to-day operations for the Scene Shop (currently in Burkhiser Complex)
Direct and supervise student workers (shop organization, set construction, set painting, set transportation, etc.)
Manage regular operations for the Costume and Prop Shop (some costume and prop storage in Kent Hall basement)
Design, realize, and facilitate lighting, sound, sets, and costume design for all official CSC Theatre productions in collaboration with Theatre faculty and staff
Direct Lighting Lab
Co-Manage a theatre production budget with other CSC Theatre faculty and staff
Manage day-to-day operations for Memorial Hall Auditorium and Memorial Hall Black Box Theatre
Maintain calendar of events in collaboration with CSC Conferencing for both spaces
Coordinate CSC Music and CSC Theatre shared use of Auditorium
Facilitate operations of Memorial Hall ticket office, with support from Memorial Hall office assistant
Oversee lighting, sound, and systems support (i.e., fly system—including music acoustic shell, routine upkeep and maintenance) in collaboration with CSC maintenance staff, including electricians
Recommend equipment and system upgrades to school dean
Train and coordinate schedules for student workers to work events in the spaces as associate stage managers
Coordinate ticketing in collaboration with Athletics staff

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Theatre Design and Production, Scenography, or closely related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing a performance venue
Teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level
Supervisory experience
