Title IX Coordinator
Job Description
Job Summary:
Nature of Work:Responsible for providing leadership, coordination and oversight of the College's compliance efforts with regard to policies and state and federal laws related to sexual discrimination and misconduct. Includes responding to, investigating, and resolving allegations in consultation with System Office and providing training and educational programs to students and employees.Essential Duties:
1. Designated Title IX Coordinator overseeing all aspects of Title IX compliance; including but not limited to Title IX complaints, reports of gender discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual violence and related allegations of sexual misconduct as they impact students or the academic environment
2. Investigate and seek resolution to allegations of discrimination and sexual harassment
3. Create and implement investigation plans
4. Maintain all case files per established best practices
5. Act as liaison with Nebraska State College System's Title IX System Director
6. Provide educational programs regarding discrimination and sexual harassment prevention, including but not limited to training, consultation and technical assistance for faculty and staff outlining their rights and obligations under Title IX
7. Deliver educational programs for students in the areas of sexual discrimination and misconduct, consent, Title IX rights and responsibilities, relevant NSCS policies, processes for filing complaints, and resources for education, prevention, reporting and response to sexual misconduct
8. Identify and address any systemic problems relating to complaints and work with other departments to ensure Title IX policies are communicated to all constituencies
9. Communicate with law enforcement personnel and other relevant administrators to assure that reports and complaints of gender discrimination or sexual violence and related misconduct are handled appropriately
10. Maintain Title IX website
11. Ensure accuracy of Title IX and institutional data and oversee compliance with required reporting under applicable state and federal laws
12. Oversee the development and/or implementation of periodic campus climate surveys
13. Continuous monitoring or statutory and regulatory requirements related to sexual discrimination/misconduct and ensure appropriate and timely institutional compliance.
14. Serve on the CARE/BIT committee.
15. Train, support and coordinate with Title IX Designees.
16. Recommend faculty and staff to serve as hearing panel chair/member/advisor.
17. Coordinate training for hearing panel chair/member/advisor designees.
