Job Summary:
Analyzes performance and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Recruit student athletes. Observes players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement. Coach players individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques. This position is exempt with regard to FLSA overtime provisions.
Primary Duties:
1. Will serve as the Reserve Varsity coach to include practice and skill development sessions and will have some responsibilities with the varsity program;
2. Will assist the Head Coach in scouting, talent assessment and recruiting to reach optimal roster numbers;
3. Will help monitor and support the academic success and retention of student-athletes;
4. Will provide training, direction and encouragement in preparation of student-athletes in team building, team strategy, and sportsmanship;
5. Will analyze player performance and instruct student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition;
6. Will be expected to be a positive role model for student-athletes and have a commitment to the College's mission and values.
Secondary Duties:
1. Will assist in arranging community service activities for team;
2. May plan camps;
3. Will participate in Champions of Character initiatives;
4. Assist with fundraising;
5. Other duties as assigned.

Prior coaching experience is required. Must have knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations. Must have the ability to work in an environment where the education, welfare, and graduation of student-athletes receive primary emphasis. Strong communication, administrative, organizational, and computer skills required. Must be able to work effectively with a diverse student population, many of whom are first generation college students.
