Responsibilities

Responsibilities:  The Director of Business Services is responsible for the supervision of the Business and One Stop offices.  The One Stop office’s focus is on providing excellent customer services to our students and assists students with questions in reference to cashiering, student refunds, financial aid, and student records.  The Business office oversees the College’s accounts receivable, revenue, and Agency accounts. Responsibilities will include:

  • Set up and test in PeopleSoft system for all item types and term tuition and fees.
  • Maintain and use PeopleSoft system for all student accounts related information.
  • Work with the Financial Aid Office on disbursements for students to be received by college.
  • Student tax reporting relating to tuition.
  • Account analysis for collectability and write offs.
  • Coordinate and provide training to staff to be able to effectively serve students.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments across campus to further One Stop’s role in supporting the retention and persistence of our students.
  • Work with the Admissions and Enrollment areas to provide support for the areas that touch the One Stop office.

Requirements

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business and equivalent training required. Knowledge of fund accounting principles and integrated computerized systems is required.  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership abilities, and previous effective supervisory experience. Desired candidates should have experience in PeopleSoft, CashNet, SAP Accounting and Enterprise.  The candidate must possess effective decision-making skills and be able to train and delegate tasks as necessary. Must be customer-service focused and possess the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external constituencies. Demonstrated and effective teamwork skills are required in order to facilitate achieving goals and objectives. Prior demonstrated experience with governmental accounting is preferred.
