Job Summary:
Analyzes performance and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Recruit student athletes. Observes players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement. Coach players individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques. Will assist with all aspects of the College's football program.
Essential Duties:

- Year-round responsibilities
a. Formulate objectives for the coming athletic season.
b. Develop a sound recruiting philosophy that includes contact with area student/athletes.
c. Maintain awareness of new ideas and techniques in Football by attending clinics and workshops.
d. Maintain knowledge of rules and regulations of the NAIA and its governance. Violation of NAIA rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
e. Stay informed of all rule changes concerning the sport of Football.
f. Effectively direct search and hiring process for graduate assistants. Appraise and direct graduate assistants as needed.
g. Travel required where appropriate. Schedule travel arrangements and accommodations for the team.
h. Attend all practices and games and have the ability to effectively coach the sport and skills of football.
3. Seasonal responsibilities
a. Pre-Season – Assist with registration of all athletes. Communicate with Compliance Coordinator to compile all eligibility and Equivalency Squad Lists. Ensure all athletes have had a physical and proof of insurance
b. In-Season – Assume responsibilities for care of all equipment and facilities being used. Organize and schedule practices on a regular basis. Accompany and direct the team in all intercollegiate athletic contests. Designate assistant coaches and graduate assistant responsibilities as needed
c. End-of-Season – Arrange for a systematic return of all equipment and provide the opportunity for student athletes to meet in a year in review meeting. Conduct exit interviews with graduating seniors
Required Qualifications:
Required Education: Bachelor's degree

In physical education, recreation, health, or related field.
Required Experience: 1 year
Type of Required Experience:
Previous coaching experience. Must have knowledge of NCAA or NAIA (as applicable) rules and regulations.
Required License/Certification:
Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
Collegiate level football coaching experience.
