Job Summary:
The Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) is a member of the President's executive leadership team responsible for the successful implementation of the College's strategic plan. The VPEM is the chief enrollment officer for the College and is responsible for the overall enrollment planning direction for the Division which includes the following offices: Admissions. Will lead Campus-wide initiatives in the areas of inclusion practices, recruitment and marketing initiatives. The VPEM establishes and implements operating procedures to facilitate recruitment, matriculation, and graduation of students. The VPEM oversees the budget for the Division and provides strategic vision for the assessment and quality improvement initiatives of the Division.
- Responsible for direction and guidance for advancing the College's strategic priorities;
- Serves as chief officer for the College's recruitment processes;
- Provide executive-level leadership, strategic planning, oversight, and coordination of the Division of Enrollment Management in the areas of programming and policy development to include the following area: Admissions;
- Lead the College's efforts to enhance, assess, and maintain a comprehensive enrollment management plan for managing enrollments to capacity in alignment with the strategic academic plan of the College. Ensure that the operational objectives, policies and practices for enrollment management align with the strategic plan and goals of the College;
- Oversee all institutional and system scholarship and waiver awards. Implement strategies to effectively leverage scholarships and waivers to enhance the College's enrollment;
- Promote collaboration with all units of the College, particularly Academic Affairs, to support student learning and student success. Build strategic partnerships with the faculty, and others, both on and off campus to facilitate institutional understanding that enrollment is a campus-wide responsibility;
- Responsible for various College-wide committees including: Retention Steering Committee and Scholarship Committee;
- Enhance, assess, and lead the implementation of a strategy and operational practices;
- Develop and enhance the assessment of student learning outcomes for activities within the Division;
- Promotes positive student relations by maintaining effective lines of communication with student leaders and serving as a strong advocate for the non-academic, extracurricular, and co-curricular needs of students;
- Monitor institutional policies and practices to ensure compliance with relevant state and federal laws, NSCS regulations, and other state and federal mandates;
- Serve on the Council for Marketing and Enrollment Officers Committee for the NSCS and actively participates in all NSCS Board Meetings and initiatives;
- Report on recruitment and marketing strategies and results, enrollment trends, and other key indicators to the President, President's Cabinet, NSCS, the faculty and staff of the College, and other audiences;
- Serve as an advocate for higher education in the community, state, region, and nation;
- Other duties as assigned.
