Job Summary:
This position helps promote student wellness by leading alcohol and other drug prevention and education efforts at UNO, including classroom and group presentations, as well as related support programming. The role also provides leadership to the Campus Recovery Community and may supervise a student worker.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 year of experience in education, human/social services, student support activities, counseling, public health, student affairs, or health education
- 1 year of experience working with and facilitating groups
- Public speaking skills and related experience
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Professional training in alcohol and other drug-related prevention and education
- Teaching experience
- Experience with young adults
- Programming development and implementation experience
- Conflict resolution and disciplinary counseling experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability
