Job Description

Job Summary:

Nature of Work: 

Responsible for providing instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the College. 
 
Teach graduate courses in a CACREP accredited counseling program, and maybe an undergraduate course if necessary; advise students in accordance with contract; supervise practicum or internship students in clinical mental health and/or PK-12 school settings; participate in state, college, department, and program committees; engage in scholarly activities and service to campus and/or community. Work collaboratively with other faculty in a professional and collegial manner, contribute to the continued growth and development of the counseling programs, and, to work on CACREP related activities. We are looking for a colleague to help us strive toward excellence. 

 

This is a Tenure Track Appointment. Rank will be determined based on qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

Education: 
Master’s Degree is required; Earned Doctorate preferred. Earned Doctorate required for promotion and tenure. 
 
Experience: 
Experience in teaching and in research/scholarship, and experience in effectively using technology to facilitate student learning and to expand student access preferred.

Other Requirements: 

  • Criminal Background and DMV Check 
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license 

Preferred Qualifications:

• An earned doctorate in counselor education and supervision from a CACREP accredited program. 
• Experience teaching college courses, professional service, and evidence of scholarly work and research related to counseling. 
• Clinical and supervision experience with diverse populations. 
• Identifies with the counseling profession through memberships in professional organizations (e.g. ACA or ASCA and their divisions). 
• Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty in a professional and collegial manner, and contribute to the continued growth and development of the counseling program at the graduate level and human services program at the undergraduate level. 
• Specialization in applied behavior analysis. 
• Experience as a licensedclinician. 
• Licensed or licensure eligible in the state of Nebraska as a school counselor. 
• Licensed or licensure eligible in the state of Nebraska as a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner.
