Job Description

Job Summary:

Nature of Work: Responsible for providing instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the College.  Teach college courses in the exercise science program utilizing human performance lab and equipment; advise undergraduate and graduate students; advise clubs and organizations; serve on department, program, and college committees; engage in scholarly activities; and collaborate with colleagues to further the school’s and department’s mission.

 

Wayne State College is seeking a non-tenure track Exercise Science Faculty member. Initial appointment at the rank of Instructor is anticipated. Review of applications will begin immediately.

 

Primary teaching assignment may include but not limited to Exercise Physiology, Sport Physiology, Fitness Evaluation and Assessment, Physical Health and Wellbeing, Athletic Performance and Nutrition, Introduction to Exercise Science and Allied Health Professions, Anatomy and Physiology, among others as needed.   

 

Desired start date is the 2025 Fall Semester.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree required
  • Earned Doctorate preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College teaching experience in Exercise Science or related field
  • Experience in research or scholarly activities
  • Experience in effectively using technology and multiple teaching methods to facilitate student learning and to expand student access.
