University of Nebraska Office of the President
The Office of the President is the University of Nebraska System’s main administrative unit—home to the System president, Board of Regents, and offices that support university operations—including academic affairs, business and finance, external relations, facilities, information technology, internal audit, legal, procurement and other services. The University of Nebraska’s three institutes also report to the Office of the President.
University of Nebraska at Kearney
UNK offers nearly 6,000 students an environment that gives them a private school feel, but on a major state university campus. As the educational hub for rural Nebraska, UNK offers 121 undergraduate majors, 18 pre-professional programs, and 27 graduate programs. UNK extends world-class education to rural Nebraska and serves its community with economics support while preparing students to enter the workforce.
University of Nebraska - Lincoln
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln was chartered in 1869 as Nebraska's land-grant university. It is the flagship campus of the University of Nebraska System, home to nearly 24,000 students. UNL is among the top 100 public universities listed in the U.S. News and World Report’s annual evaluation of America’s Best Colleges and is ranked in the top third of all national universities, both public and private.
University of Nebraska Medical Center
The University of Nebraska Medical Center is Nebraska’s only public academic health science center, serving more than 4,000 students. UNMC is focused on groundbreaking medical research and education and world-class treatment for patients from around the world—from combatting deadly Ebola outbreaks in West Africa, leading the nation during COVID-19 and building a cutting-edge cancer research center that benefits the entire nation.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha has the unique role of serving as the state’s metropolitan campus. Serving 15,000 students, UNO is known for its student-centered environment and community engagement. UNO has consistently ranked in the top ten public institutions in the nation for military friendliness by Military Times—ranked first in 2024.
