Job Summary:
The Department of Biology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is seeking candidates for one tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in August 2026. The successful applicant will be trained in a public health related discipline.
Duties will include 1) teaching on-campus and online undergraduate/graduate courses 2) establishing a successful independent research program involving undergraduate students and 3) performing service to the department, university, and profession. The university is committed to undergraduate teaching and research, community engagement, and meaningful faculty-student interactions.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD or DrPH in public health, community health education, health promotion, or related field.
- Classroom and online teaching experience at the university level
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience collaborating with community partners on public health initiatives
- Interest in promoting health and wellbeing for university students
