Commencement/Scheduling Associate
Job Description

Job Summary:

This position coordinates the UNMC commencement activities/ceremonies on all five UNMC campuses. Oversees graduation application and diploma processes, monitors degree completion and post degrees, and submits degree verification files.

Coordinates student academic record digital file creation and retention processes. Assists with Academic Records processes.

This position assist the Academic Records and Central Scheduling Office with commencement, academic records, and room scheduling processes.

Oversees the graduation application and diploma processes, monitors degree completion, posts degrees and submits degree verification files.

Assists with UNMC commencement activities/ceremonies on all five UNMC locations. Coordinates student academic record digital file creation and retention processes. Assists with the scheduling of all reservable space on the Omaha campus and other locations of UNMC.

Engages with a wide variety of stakeholders regarding policies, processes, and procedures related to reservation and course scheduling.

Assist with the creation and maintenance of user training materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School education or GED
  • 5 years related administrative support experience.
  • Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Word,Microsoft Outlook

 

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to work in collaborative manner with diverse groups. Knowledge of database management.
  • Ability to analyze complex processes and guidelines and resolve conflicts in timely manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Follow AACRAO guidelines for transfer credit policies/procedures, FERPA, University of Nebraska and UNMC policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree
  • Program/event planning in an academic setting or room scheduling management.
  • Oracle/PeopleSoft Student Information System, EMS or scheduling software.
