Functional Analyst, Student Finance
Job Description

Job Summary:

The NeSIS Student Finance Functional Analyst is responsible to lead the administrative management of specific Student Finance business function changes within the Student Information System (Oracle PeopleSoft software suite - Campus Solutions), Data Warehouse, Enterprise Tools, and integrated third party modules.

Responsibilities include: coordinating core system functionality and peripheral system components, understanding and implementing functional support for new releases, conducting and managing integration testing, expanding reporting capacity, documentation, and training. Ensuring data integrity by conducting periodic data checks and engaging the campuses to clean up any findings as it pertains SF and the 1098T process. May be required to work weekend/evening hours or during peak periods.

Functional Areas:Student Finances including: 1098T's, third party payment integration (CashNet, NelNet), HR/Employee scholarship (SAP) and General Ledger interface and Interactions with 3rd party items: Housing (StarRez), Health Insurance, eforms/workflow (shared cross functional/cross campus), student/faculty/advisor/staff/guest dashboards, troubleshooting query questions, and other functional areas as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Computer Science or related field

4 years experience in Student Information/Business Systems; preferably 2 of those years having an emphasis in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems.

Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft campus solutions

 

Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience with administrative systems in a college or university environment

This position is designated as an on-site role and is not eligible for an alternative worksite arrangement at the time of hire.  Following successful completion of the initial probationary period and demonstration of satisfactory performance, employees in this position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement, subject to departmental needs and supervisory approval.  Under the University of Nebraska Information Technology Services (NU ITS) hybrid work guidelines, eligible employees may work remotely up to two days per week and are required to work on-site a minimum of three days per week at one of the University of Nebraska campuses in Lincoln, Omaha or Kearney.
