Hospitality Service Leader (10:30pm-7:00am, Tues-Sat)
Job Description

Job Summary:

The Hospitality Service Leader performs routine work in cleaning and general upkeep of Campus Recreation buildings including offices, halls, conference rooms, classrooms, restrooms, and locker and shower rooms.

In this role you will:

  • Scrub and polish floors using heavy industrial-type powered scrubbing and buffing machines.
  • Vacuum and clean carpets using industrial-type vacuum cleaners and carpet extractors.
  • Mix cleaning solutions per instruction.
  • Collect and dispose of refuse that may require heavy physical efforts.
  • Lift and move objects weighing about 50 pounds and occasionally more.

Must be able to work at any Campus Recreation facility.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School education or GED plus two (2) years experience; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
  • Experience must demonstrate ability to follow oral and written instructions; understanding of cleaning chemicals and their application and dilution ratios; and ability to gain the knowledge and skill necessary to safely operate large cleaning equipment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualification is preferred but not required:

  • Experience in a custodial related position.
