Job Summary:
The Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation Lead provides leadership and coordination for institutional efforts that promote artificial intelligence literacy, responsible AI adoption, and digital innovation across the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Housed within the Office of Graduate Studies and Academic Innovation, this position serves as a university resource and subject matter expert on artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and technology-enhanced learning practices in support of student success, faculty development, and instructional innovation.
Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, academic units, Information Technology Services, and institutional partners, this position leads the development of AI-focused learning resources, professional development opportunities, micro-credentials, and digital literacy initiatives. The role also coordinates the ongoing enhancement of the Loper AI Lab as a centralized AI resource hub and supports the effective, ethical, and accessible integration of artificial intelligence across teaching, learning, and academic support environments.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in instructional design, educational technology, higher education administration, organizational leadership, communications business, or a related field.
Three (3) or more years of professional experience in academic innovation, instructional design, workforce development, educational technology, learning and development, or a related field. Experience supporting the integration of emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, digital learning initiatives, or professional training environments is preferred. Demonstrated experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, leading projects or initiatives, and supporting technology-enhanced teaching, learning, or organizational innovation.
