Job Summary:
The Admissions Counselor is essential to the University’s overall enrollment strategy and is responsible for recruiting prospective students from within an assigned territory which could be in-state as well as out-of-state. Serve as a representative for UNK at college fairs, educational planning programs, receptions and high school visits; requiring coordination with community colleges, high school counselors and school administration; and connection with prospective students and their families via in-person or virtual presentations and a variety of communication platforms (email, phone, text and social media.) The ability to travel and extensive evening and weekend work during peak times is required.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Required Experience:Less than 1 year
Ability to interact with individuals on all levels
Excellent communication, management and problem solving skills are essential
Basic computer expertise with word processing, spreadsheets, power point, e-mail, internet, etc. are required
Travel is required
Must have a valid driver’s license
Evening and weekend work is necessary
Must be able to lift boxes up to 40 pounds in weight
Preferred Qualifications:
experience in dealing with public and holding leadership positions in academic/extracurricular/service/student/professional organizations is preferred
bi-lingual in spanish preferred
