Job Summary:
Tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank beginning Fall 2026. Successful candidate will teach entry and advanced-level undergraduate courses in the area of criminal justice. This position is for a generalist, and preference may be given to those applicants with professional experience in the criminal justice field. Duties fall into three categories: teaching, research, and service. Must be able to teach both in face-to-face and online environments. The successful candidate is also expected to maintain a scholarly research program that generates high quality research products. Finally, all faculty are expected to engage in service to the Department/College/University, which includes serving as an advisor to criminal justice majors.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a terminal degree in a closely related field required. Candidates who are ABD will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience, evidence of active research in scholarship, and evidence of teaching excellence.
