Job Summary:
This is a tenure-track faculty position, which includes teaching courses within the Educational Administration Department. Candidates are expected to have a record of demonstrated ability in educational leadership and administration, distinguished teaching, and eligibility for a faculty position. The successful candidate will teach online graduate coursework, recruit and advise students, provide academic leadership for the department while fulfilling teaching and service responsibilities to the department, college, university and professional community. Engagement in NexGen Leadership Academy and outreach to the educational community through consulting, presenting, and attendance at conferences and meetings is expected.
Required Qualifications:
Terminal degree in Educational Administration or Educational Leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five or more years of successful experience as a PK-12 educational administrator. Experience as a district-level school administrator is preferred. Leadership role in state, regional, or national level organizations. Active membership and participation in professional organizations. Experience in mentoring educational professionals. Either holds a current Standard Administrative Certificate or Professional Administrative Certificate or is eligible to obtain a certificate. Relevant and successful teaching experience at the graduate level in online, blended or hybrid instructional formats. Background in various methods and strategies used to engage students in an online environment. Demonstrates comfort in utilizing various forms of technology in course delivery.
