
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Facilities Business Manager, the Event/Move Set-up position will coordinate planning and set up of extracurricular and public events in campus buildings/areas as needed.
Assist with campus event coordination and moves in UNK buildings, and assist with locking and unlocking spaces when needed. Coordinate events with the Events and Reservations Coordinator. Set up and take down equipment, chairs, tables, A/V equipment, podiums, microphones, speakers, portable staging, etc. Assist Landscaping and Grounds teams with snow removal and other exterior maintenance as necessary. Assist Custodial Services Teams with custodial projects as necessary in the Nebraskan Student Union.
Required Qualifications:
- High school education or GED
- 1 year of relevant experience
- A valid driver's license
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Climb, stoop, bend, work from ladders or platforms at various heights and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to interact and communicate well with others
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with audio/visual equipment. Experience with event set up. Experience working with Events software.
