Job Summary:

Under general direction, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, construction, and care of the campus. Work varies, requiring interpretive judgment within prescribed standards and procedures. Operate various trucks and light equipment, perform manual labor in the maintenance, repair, and minor construction of campus grounds. Oversee landscaping including flowers, perennials, and turf. Apply herbicide, pesticide, and fertilizer. Assist in trimming trees and shrubs. Assist with irrigation as needed including repairing irrigation heads and assisting with major repairs. Prepare and maintain sand volleyball courts. Provide snow removal including operating light equipment and manual removal of snow and ice.

Required Qualifications:

High School Education or GED

Three (3) years of experience maintaining turf and landscaping

A combination of education and relavant experience will be considered. 

Working knowledge of equipment and job functions of a commercial landscaping and grounds operation.

Good oral, writing, and organizational skills.

Valid drivers license  

Preferred Qualifications:

Five (5) years of experience maintaining turf and landscaping
