The Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics at the University of Nebraska invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Economics beginning January 2026.

 

The successful candidate will teach four undergraduate courses per semester in economics, accounting, and finance, as well as other courses as assigned. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining currency and relevancy in the field through ongoing professional engagement and development.
  • Advising undergraduate students.
  • Contributing to departmental, college, and university service activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Master's degree in Economics or related discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching undergraduate courses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of one of the following:
    • Professional experience: significant in duration and responsibility, and related to the teaching areas.
    • Scholarly experience: substantive scholarly activities, with at least two peer-reviewed journal articles published within the past 5 years.
