Job Summary:

The primary role of this position is to supervise graduate student practicum in the College of Education on-campus clinic, via tele practice, and at community clinical outreach activities. In addition, this individual may teach selected undergraduate courses (typically one per semester). Other duties include assisting the department Clinic Coordinator in overseeing and maintaining the inventory of diagnostic and treatment materials essential to quality provision of services. This individual will also help assure the quality of student clinical education and ethical provision of clinical service in compliance with appropriate standards for program accreditation and student credentialing. Other duties may be assigned by the Chair of the Department of Communication Disorders or the Dean of the College. The Department of Communication Disorders is part of the College of Education. The program holds ASHA/CAA accreditation and offers the M.S. Ed./Speech-Language Pathology and B.S.Ed./Communication Disorders degrees.

Required Qualifications:

Must have a Master's degree in speech-language pathology; ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC/SLP) and Nebraska State License (or immediate eligibility). Individuals must be able to supervise in multiple areas of clinical speech-language practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior university teaching and/or supervisory experience, clinical experience with a variety of communication disorders, including AAC, motor speech, and/or dysphagia are preferred
