Job Summary:
Under direction of the Custodial Manager, this position is responsible for operating & performing minor maintenance repairs on custodial equipment; buffers, auto scrubbers, riders, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums and performing custodial duties for student housing, academic buildings and sports facilities. Quality customer service will be provided to the client at all times. Knowledge to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.
- Operate & Perform minor maintenance repairs on custodial equipment; buffers, auto scrubbers, riders, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums
- Pick up and/or deliver laundry and performs laundry duties.
- Operate & maintains variety of power & hand tools
- Uses computer & mobile device to enter time and order parts
- Pickups/delivers custodial equipment for repairs or work assignments
- Pickups/disposes Waste/Recycling from the campus grounds and roll offs manual and utilizes a hydraulic lift
- Performs other custodial duties listed below when needed;
- Attends to Emergency calls when necessary
- Assist with Set up & Tear down for special events
- Locks/Unlocks Interior & Exterior Doors
- Exterior Window cleaning using various cleaning equipment
- Snow removal from entrances, steps & sidewalks within 15 feet of a building using shovel/snow blower & dispersing salt
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years’ experience on small equipment repair
- A valid driver’s license and has received vaccination for the Hepatitis B
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of custodial experience
