Job Summary:

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment including belt changes, lubrication of equipment, cleaning, system analysis, air filter changes, coil cleaning, etc. Within mechanical rooms.
• Request parts and materials from supervisor. Complete work order tickets, materials/services request forms, leave request forms, inspection reports, log sheets, and other required paperwork.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and repair of high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, utility distribution systems, and utility equipment.
• May respond to calls from supervisor or facilities service desk dispatcher regarding environmental concerns and correct problems.
• Maintain filter inventory adequate to needs.
• Steam trap testing and repair.
• Assist with pipe fitting work as needed.
• Assists in the training of others as needed in all areas.
• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.

Required Qualifications:

• High school education or GED
• 3 years of relevant work experience working with mechanical equipment
• A valid driver's license
• Must be able to work independently, with little supervision
• Must perform all work in a safe and professional manner
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Primary hours will be Monday-Friday and occasionally covering the operator shift schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of relevant work experience working with mechanical equipment
