
Job Summary:
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment including belt changes, lubrication of equipment, cleaning, system analysis, air filter changes, coil cleaning, etc. Within mechanical rooms.
- Request parts and materials from supervisor. Complete work order tickets, materials/services request forms, leave request forms, inspection reports, log sheets, and other required paperwork.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and repair of high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, utility distribution systems, and utility equipment.
- May respond to calls from supervisor or facilities service desk dispatcher regarding environmental concerns and correct problems.
- Maintain filter inventory adequate to needs.
- Steam trap testing and repair.
- Assist with pipe fitting work as needed.
- Assists in the training of others as needed in all areas.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.
Required Qualifications:
- High school education or GED
- 3 years of relevant work experience working with mechanical equipment
- A valid driver's license
- Must be able to work independently, with little supervision
- Must perform all work in a safe and professional manner
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Primary hours will be Monday-Friday and occasionally covering the operator shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant work experience working with mechanical equipment
