
Job Duties
Work with all types of refrigerants, gases, welding equipment, tools and test equipmentInstall and troubleshoot all types of air conditioning, refrigeration and temperature controls. Utilize Metasys to perform diagnostic evaluation of air conditioning and heating systems. Perform electrical and plumbing work related to refrigeration and temperature control equipment. Make all necessary tests and calibration for installation, maintenance and repair of equipment. Must be able to work in varying temperature extremes. Maintain operation and control of air handling systemsMaintain inventory and documentation of Refrigerants. Must be able to work independently. Will be able to cover vacationing staff on the 24-hour crew for the Central Utility Plant. In the event of a campus incident, you may be required to report to work, even during periods when the campus is closed, due to the nature of the position. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Required Qualifications:
- High school education or GED
- Minimum two years in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Service
- E.P.A. Certified (type I and II)
- Must be able to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, shop drawings
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license
