Job Summary:
The Quick Serve Team Member is a key position within Children's Center and Dining Services. This position will work within the UNL Children's Center and support Abel Dining Center as needed.
As a Quick Serve Team Member, you will:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Perform all back of the house kitchen duties, including ingredient and food preparation, inventory, cooking and assembling orders, setting up and closing down stations, recipe preparation, dish machine operations, and cleaning.
- Build recipes based on established processes, procedures, guidelines, and recipes.
- Monitor food quality, food presentation, and control food waste.
- Assist within other areas as needed and other duties assigned.
This position is considered essential and may have weekend or evening shifts.

Required Qualifications:
- High School education plus one year of experience in a work environment required; equivalency considered.
- Ability to read, write, weigh and measure necessary.
- Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required.
- Ability to communicate essential.
