
Job Summary:
The Athletics IT Manager is a hands-on leader overseeing all technology services for UNO Athletics and event venues, including Baxter Arena. This role blends technical expertise with event coordination in a fast-paced, team-oriented collegiate athletics environment.
This position will lead and manage IT support for NU ITS and UNO Athletics, overseeing technology operations for games, practices, and special events. This includes direct support, project planning, and coordination from concept through implementation. You'll serve as a key liaison between clients, vendors, and consultants, ensuring seamless delivery of IT services that align with both athletics and campus-wide priorities.
Position works closely with athletics leadership and is embedded in the UNO Athletics leadership structure. It requires flexibility, including nights and weekends, to ensure reliable coverage and support across events.
This position will uphold the ITS core principles of outstanding collaboration and communication, a drive to succeed, a passion for higher learning, and acting with integrity.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
3 years experience supporting venue technologies in a professional or university setting
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and/or Apple MacOS operating systems,including system administration, and hardware troubleshooting
Proven experience delivering high-quality customer support and managing stakeholderrelationships
Supervisory or team leadership experience in a technical support environment
Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with space management software
Experience with technology research and development and procurement
Experience working with third-party vendors on system integration or IT service delivery
Experience and understanding of managing and operating A/V equipment, digital signage, and live event technology operations
Hands-on experience with athletics specific software, such as: Scoring platforms: Stat Crew, Genius Sports, Colorado Timing, Hy-Tek Meet Manager, Gymnastics Scorekeeper Video and analysis platforms: DVSport, Playsight, XOS, Hudl, Sportscode, Right View Pro, BATS, Volleymetrics
Knowledge of radio communication systems used in event coordination
