
Job Summary:
The Business Manager, supports the iEXCEL vision of Improving Human Performance and Effectiveness in Health Professions Education through high-level coordination of the iEXCEL business activities by providing oversight of multiple budgets, contracts, including tracking business development opportunities. The iEXCEL Business Manager is a key operational employee responsible for engaging with vendors and companies, from the business development aspect, and managing financial records for the administrative business functions of the iEXCEL program. This position ensures federal, state, philanthropic, and research funds are separately accounted for in a manner that ensures compliance with appropriate policies, and that internal processes align with institutional goals. The Business Manager at iEXCEL works closely with the Assistant Vice Chancellor, Advanced and Statewide Simulation to play a pivotal role in the ongoing success of the academic, community/state and business missions through fostering innovative partnerships, supporting events and other high-level engagements by ensuring strong customer/supplier relationships. This position is essential to cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with all internal and external partners and includes documenting and tracking industry and other sponsors and overall support of iEXCEL' s continued growth.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, Accounting/Finance, Communications, Hospitality or related field.
- 2 years progressive management experience to include experience with accounting and/or financial experience.
- Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Word,Microsoft PowerPoint,Microsoft Outlook.
Will consider additional related post high school education in lieu of required experience.
- Knowledge of office administration practices
- Excellent written, verbal and culturally appropriate interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to occasionally work irregular hours Ability to prioritize and organize multiple, complex administrative duties independently
- Ability to work in a demanding environment and to deal with complex matters, often involving a high sense of urgency requiring immediate action
- Ability to work autonomously and possess a high level of critical thinking and independent judgment with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business, Communications, Hospitality or related field
- Experience with business development, business operations, event coordination, UNMC system awareness.

- Preparation of high-level budget reports and financial documents
- Familiar with institutional and administrative policies and know where and how to elicit such information
