Clinical Study Coordinator
Job Description

Job Summary:

Work for the UNMC Fred &Pamela Buffett Cancer Center's (FPBCC) Early Phase Therapeutic Clinical Trial Unit to coordinate and participate in the overall project management, implementation, and recruitment for UNMC cancer and health Informatics Databases (IDs)/Registries and investigator-initiated multi-site human biological material protocols and research projects and management of multiple cancer related projects. Responsible for coordination of regulatory and reporting aspects as well as assist with Investigational Human Biological Material (non-therapeutic) research protocols. Provide project management for sponsor-funded, pharmaceutical, and investigator-initiated studies including training personnel, submission of regulatory documents, managing data collection, maintaining records, organizing site visits, collaborating with participating cancer centers and establishing positive relationships with all parties involved.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years clinical experience and/or research experience in a clinical or laboratory setting.

Will consider six years education and/or related experience combined of which two years must include post high school education.

 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and oncology.
  • Familiarity with creation and maintenance of computerized databases.
  • Regulatory knowledge including Good Clinical Practice guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
  • Knowledge of clinical research and chart review.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with other team members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer literacy in word processing, database use, and file management.
  • Good organizational skills; flexibility and accountability.
