Departmental Assistant - Accessibility Services Center - Graduate Assistant
Job Description

Job Summary:

The Accessibility Services Center (ASC) Graduate Assistant will serve in a support capacity to the ASC Director and professional office staff. Essentials functions include but are not limited to:

  • Assist students and professional staff with the intake and registration process
  • Facilitate the student experience and feedback outreach, coordination, and data collection
  • Support the student government agency: Network for Disability Awareness (NDA)
  • Provide ASC representation at varying events on and off campus to include table events and presentations.
  • Assist with varying modes of communication with students and faculty/staff (email, telephone, in-person consultation)
  • Data analysis and research.

 

Work schedule is 20 hours per week, typically between 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

 

This is a spring semester Graduate Assistant position.

 

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must be admitted to a degree seeking graduate program and enrolled in at least 6 graduate hours; must maintain good academic standing. Candidate must be able to work independently and in a team setting; candidate must possess understanding of confidentiality and time-sensitivity, as well as possess strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred degree programs include: Education, School Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
