
Job Summary:
The Director of Strategic Partnerships will be a key leader in the Office of Industry Engagement at University of Nebraska Medical Center. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to create, strengthen, and manage partnerships with industry to advance the institution's research, innovation, and translational goals. The Director will work closely with faculty, administrators, and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, secure collaborations, and foster a culture of engagement that benefits industry partners, patients, community, and the broader academic mission.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, or related field.
- 5 years progressively responsible experience in industry engagement, business development, technology transfer, research administration, and/or corporate partnerships within a medical center, university, or life sciences company.
- Microsoft Outlook,Microsoft Excel,Microsoft PowerPoint,Microsoft Word
- Strong understanding of academic research environments, intellectual property, clinical trials, biomedical research (including drug and medical device development), technology commercialization, academic-industry partnerships, and regulatory considerations.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and manage complex relationships between academia and industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree - Doctorate in Health Sciences or related field
- 10 years experience
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
- Collaborative and diplomatic; able to work across disciplines and organizations.
- Comfortable operating at both high strategic levels and hands-on execution.
- Committed to advancing the mission of academic medicine and patient impact.
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- High ethical standards and commitment to transparency, compliance, and patient-centered research.
- Proven ability to engage faculty, senior administrators, and external partners with credibility and influence.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity while building new initiatives.
