Job Description

Job Summary:

A Psychology Fellow position is available at the Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) Psychology department at UNMC beginning August 1, 2026. Position will assist MMI Psychology faculty in clinical, educational and research activities using a “learning through service” model. Psychology Fellows will provide assessment and treatment to children, adolescents, and families in the MMI behavioral health clinics located at UNMC or in outreach clinics as part of their clinical education and service experience. Outreach clinics are in primary care sites or school mental health clinics in the Omaha metro area or nearby rural communities. Minor rotations may include additional assessment and clinical roles in settings providing services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing psychological evaluation services for youth entering the juvenile justice system, providing evaluations for special education services through the local public school system, and systems level grant work with the MHTTC program. Participation in research, student supervision, and training activities will also be available. 

 

Psychology Fellow must have the ability to travel to outreach clinical sites from 5 to 180 miles on a regular basis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical, School, or Counseling Psychology or have completed doctoral requirements (including internship) in a licensable field of psychology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience in behavioral psychology with children and adolescents preferable. Priority will be given to applicants:
    • Willing to practice in rural clinic locations like Kearney, Beatrice or Columbus, Nebraska
    • Current Nebraska License (LMHP or PLP) and/or who are Nebraska license eligible
    • Current BCBA credentials
