Job Description

Job Summary:

The University of Nebraska at Omaha seeks applicants for a two-year instructor position in Political Science.  The anticipated start date is August 2026.  The position may be renewed, contingent on performance and university resources.  A completed PhD is preferred, but ABD candidates will be considered.  Candidates seeking to fill the position should have interests in and a demonstrated capacity to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in American government and politics and in political science research methods.  A willingness to teach online courses is also required.  The position offers a teaching load of four courses per semester and a nine-month contract with the possibility to teach in the summer, contingent upon resources.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate for this position will possess a Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field. Excellent ABD candidates may also be considered.
