Job Summary:

Ensures that all clinical services scheduled at Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) have appropriate demographics and insurance updated in EPIC. Ensures that insurance accounts are built accurately and that all clinical services are properly authorized. Verifies eligibility, pre-determination and pre-authorization requirements for all clinical services at MMI.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School education or GED.
  • 3 years general office support experience of which one year must include experience in clinical scheduling, intake, referral coordination or related in a healthcare setting.
  • Microsoft Outlook.

Will consider related education/experience.

 

  • Knowledge of scheduling health care services. Ability to utilize clinical scheduling software.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work independently and to prioritize workload and set deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills necessary. Must be able to interface in a professional manner with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong customer focus skills essential. Ability to communicate with people in a supportive capacity, and must be able to identify & triage health care needs.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Third Party Insurance billing protocols and pre-authorization guidelines.
  • Familiarity with medical billing such as CPT , HCPCS, ICD9 coding.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post high school education with course work in business.
  • Experience in health care service delivery coordination, and clinic scheduling
  • Microsoft Access,Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Word,Microsoft PowerPoint

 

  • Knowledge of EPIC desirable.
  • Preferred experience working with persons with disabilities, and interdisciplinary care teams.
