
Job Summary:
Serves as the primary liaison between families, referring sources, Munroe-Meyer Institute staff and clinicians. Coordinates the MMI scheduling process for clients referred for diagnostic evaluation and clinical services.

Required Qualifications:
- High School education or GED
- 3 years general office support experience of which one year must include experience in clinical scheduling, intake, referral coordination or related in a healthcare setting
- Microsoft Outlook
Will consider three years related post high school education/experience.
- Knowledge of scheduling health care services. Ability to utilize clinical scheduling software.
- Strong communication skills necessary. Ability to communicate with people in a supportive capacity, and must be able to identify & triage health care needs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Strong customer focus skills essential. Must be able to interface in a professional manner with individuals at all levels. Excellent telephone etiquette required.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work independently and to prioritize workload and set deadlines.
- Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology. Familiarity with medical billing such as CPT , HCPCS, ICD10 coding. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Third Party Insurance billing protocols and per-authorization guidelines.
- Ability to remain calm and supportive and handle confidential matters discreetly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant coursework/specialized training
- Post high school education with course work in business
- Experience in health care service delivery coordination, and clinic scheduling
- Microsoft Access,Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Word,Microsoft PowerPoint
- Knowledge of EPIC desirable.
- Experience working with persons with disabilities, and interdisciplinary care teams.
