Lab Technician
Job Description

Job Summary:

Full time lab technician will support and conduct fundamental research on oogenesis and fertilization in the model worm C. elegans. This position will work alongside undergraduate and graduate students in the lab working on shared or similar projects.

Additional Info

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Genetics or a related field
  • 1 year of cell/molecular biology lab experience
  • Knowlege of sterile technique and electronic notebooks

Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Biology or related field
  • 2 years of experience in cell/molecular biology lab, experience with C' elegans, and microscopies

The ideal candidate will be motivated to conduct independent research experiments with excellent documentation skills. They will be highly organized and able to contribute to the creation of a positive working environment. They should be able to give and receive construct criticism.
