Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this position are coordination, management, and administration of assessments for the Office of Medical Education (OME).
Management of a complex database of exam questions, mapping questions to USMLE categories, providing statistical exam reports to OME administration and course directors, and building historical log of all changes.
Additionally, this position is responsible for entering assessment grades in a master document and reporting grades to the Senior Associate Dean and the Director of Assessment & Evaluation and distributing grade reports to students. Finally, the individual will assist the Senior Associate Dean, the Director of Assessment & Evaluation, the Director and the Manager of the OME on educational projects as requested.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Education, Science, Business Administration or related field
- 5 years increasingly responsible administrative experience supporting educational programs.
- Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Word,Microsoft PowerPoint,Microsoft Outlook,ExamSoft, Canvas
Will consider seven years related post high school education/experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for use in interactions with UNMC faculty members and medical students.
- Management of large examination item bank and various software systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail. Prioritization of tasks. Initiative and resourcefulness is essential.
- Mature interpersonal skills are necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant coursework/specialized training
- Exam software experience
- Ability to effectively prioritize and work efficiently under tight timelines and easily adapt as the situation necessitates.
- Microsoft Access,PeopleSoft (MyRecords), OASIS, or other student management & scheduling software.
The ideal candidate will be an organized, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They should have experience managing complex assessment processes in an academic or medical education setting and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and integrity when handling sensitive student data. The candidate will be proficient with exam software and data management systems, able to troubleshoot technical issues, and skilled in generating and interpreting assessment reports. Strong communication and collaboration abilities are essential for working effectively with faculty, staff, and leadership. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently under general supervision while maintaining a commitment to fairness, compliance, and continuous improvement in student assessment and evaluation processes.
