Provider Credential Associate
Job Description

Job Summary:

The Provider Credential Associate position provides support for provider credentialing with all MMI insurance contracts, obtains authorizations for clinical services as required, and assists in verifying charge submissions in EPIC.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School education or GED
  • 5 years in experience with medical billing/claims to include knowledge of third party/government payors credentialing processes
  • Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Word,Microsoft Outlook

Will consider five years related post high school education/experience.

  • Working knowledge of CPT and HCPCS, ICD10 coding, and medical terminology required.
  • Computer Experience Essential - Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, with good writing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and effectively manage time.
  • Attention to detail is critical.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Microsoft Access
  • Preferred other Computer Applications: Epic One Chart

 

  • The ability to work independently, to plan daily work schedule, set work priorities & demonstrate decision making skills.
  • The ability to function efficiently and accurately at high capacity, & under pressure.
  • Sufficient analytical skills to identify problems or systems issues.
  • Preferred experience with EPIC One Chart.
