Responsible for monitoring accounts to ensure collectability of reimbursement and payments from insurance carriers and/or patients for professional fee services.

Required Qualifications:

• One year post high school education in business or related field
• 3 years experience in medical or professional fee billing or experience as a claims examiner with customer service experience
• Microsoft Outlook,Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Word
• Billing system

Will consider four years related post high school education/experience.

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of CPT4 and ICD-9-M
• CRT/PC experience
• Use of correct English grammar and spelling
• Ability to maintain a cooperative attitude in dealing with staff
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical billing or insurance coursework
• 4 years experience in medical or professional fee billing or experience as a claims examiner with customer service experience.
• Some experience with third party reimbursement.
• SAP, LIS systems, Firefly

• Skilled in medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures.
• Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.
