Owner's Representative/Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Owner's Representative/ Project Manager (PM) is the University's representative to oversee and advise University clients/user groups throughout the design and construction process. Provides owner's representative and project management services, as directed, for several small to medium sized projects in varying phases simultaneously; will prioritize competing tasks to ensure projects are completed within specified requirements, schedule and budget; integrates various aspects of project management and delivery, to include developing budgets or cost estimates, planning, design, construction, occupancy, and warranty for modified University facilities. Assigned projects will vary in scope and include complexities requiring initiative, communication, risk management thinking, and problem solving as well as knowledge of project planning and scheduling for construction trades.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

3 years experience in performing owner's representative project management functions such as integration and oversight of planning, design, or construction of facilities.

Work Experience we're looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience developing budgets and/or cost estimating to support facility construction repair, renewal or renovations.
  • Project management experience integrating and providing oversight to planning, design and construction activities
  • Managing multiple upgrade or renovation projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software programs (MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and basic skills with 2D and 3D design

Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills with attention to detail

Must have a valid driver's license is required to drive a university vehicle for campus visits

 

Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant coursework/specialized training in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Interior Design or related field

Demonstrated proficiency inREVIT, 3D design, AutoCAD

Prior work experience as an Owner's Representative

Demonstrated experience with project or campus planning, classroom design, and/or cost estimating

Experience using project management systems
