
Job Summary:
The Orthodontic Program Director is a full-time academic leadership position responsible for overseeing the administration, development, and quality assurance of the Orthodontics Residency program within the College of Dentistry. The Director provides strategic direction and day-to-day management of the program, ensuring compliance with all accreditation standards set by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and fostering an environment of academic excellence, innovation, and clinical proficiency.
This role involves curriculum development, Resident supervision and mentorship, budget oversight, and direct participation in teaching, research, and scholarly activities. The Program Director serves as a liaison between the orthodontic program and college administration, as well as external stakeholders, including professional organizations and accrediting bodies.
The ideal candidate will be a certified orthodontist with a strong record of clinical, academic, and leadership experience. Applicant must be eligible for a Nebraska Dental License.
Required Qualifications:
DDS/DMD or foreign equivalent degree
Certificate in Orthodontics from a CODA accredited program will need to be completed prior to date of hire.
