Job Description

Job Summary:

This position will work closely with NSWERS leadership in ensuring the successful delivery of NSWERS’ strategic initiatives, including enhancements to the Insights and Insights+ platforms, release of new data products, implementation of the Nebraska Education Data Fellowship Program, and the NSWERS Academy training sessions. The Project Manager will establish and maintain project management processes, tools, and procedures while also directly managing projects, ensuring that timelines, deliverables, risks, and communications are actively monitored and addressed. This individual will serve as both the builder of NSWERS’ project management framework and the driver who ensures projects stay on track.

About Us:

The Nebraska P-20W data initiative, known as NSWERS, is a partnership of the Nebraska prekindergarten, elementary, secondary, and postsecondary educational systems to use data and information to further evidence-based policy and practices. The NSWERS partners also work in affiliation with the Nebraska Department of Labor to examine the intersection of education and the workforce with the goal of providing research-based insight to meet Nebraska’s current and future workforce needs. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of progressive experience managing projects, including both IT and non-IT projects.

Demonstrated experience with project management software tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar).

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, documentation, and process improvement.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

 

Equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with education, research, or government projects.

Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies.

Experience in establishing and scaling project management operations within growing organizations.
