Job Summary:
The School of Biological Sciences invites applications for a temporary instructor to teach Cancer Biology (BIOS 402), a 3 credit hour combined undergraduate (BIOS 400-level) and graduate (BIOS 800-level) course offered during the Spring 2026 semester.
Course Overview:
This ACE 10-designated course emphasizes scholarly engagement, requiring students to produce a final scholarly product. The curriculum covers:
- Principles of cancer genetics.
- Cancer prevention strategies.
- Emerging methods in diagnosis and therapy.
- Fundamental cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying human cancer.
Course Format:
- Meets twice weekly (schedule may be adjusted for the right candidate).
- One semester offering.
- Course materials and instructional support will be provided by Dr. Luwen Zhang.

Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in biology or equivalent.
- Experience teaching advanced undergraduate and/or graduate-level biology courses.
- Background in cancer biology, molecular biology, or related fields.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and scholarly engagement.
