Abdominal Recovery Surgeon and Research Associate
The Division of Transplant Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha is
recruiting a highly motivated Abdominal Recovery Surgeon and Research Associate to join our
innovative, mission-driven team. This unique dual-role position blends the fast-paced, high-impact
environment of clinical transplant surgery with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to
pioneering research in organ preservation.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree)from an accredited institution.
Candidates will bring expertise in abdominal organ recovery surgery, a solid research foundation
with experience in experimental design and scientific writing, and a collaborative spirit.
Familiarity with animal models and a strong understanding of organ physiology and preservation
science are valuable assets. Flexibility for night/weekend work is essential due to the nature of
organ procurement.
