
Job Summary:
This position will assist the University community and partners with exemplary support through the utilization and promotion of industry standard tools and best practices, in a manner consistent with ITS policies and standards. This position will participate in the utilization and deployment of new technologies, documentation of processes, tracking of inventory, and will work with our stakeholders to provide hardware and software support as well as training for supported technology.
This position will participate in and organize research and testing of innovative technologies, provide support for specialized applications, servers, and equipment. Serves as a knowledgeable resource for other client services team members. They will work closely with other specialists throughout ITS including networking, security, academic technology, and endpoint security to provide industry standard best practices and support to university departments.

Required Qualifications:
Two years post-secondary coursework
2 years experience with desktop and/or helpdesk support
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows and/or Apple macOS operating systems, software application administration, and hardware
Experience providing hardware and software support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers
Experience with direct customer support
Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with audio/visual (AV) equipment
3 years experience with desktop and/or helpdesk support
Experience with technology research and development and procurement
Supervisory experience
Experience with managing vendor interaction
Nationally recognized IT certifications
